Laura Tuïnk founded her jewelry line, Aurum, out of her home in the beautiful Hanseatic city of Kampen, the Netherlands. From her early years, she has been watching the art of goldsmithing and other craftsmanship in her father’s workshop, learning about gemstones, precious metals and how to create small objects and jewelry with them. Her designs are inspired by her lifelong fascination with nature, astrology, travel and folklore.

With heart for the earth and a focus on sustainability, Laura explores creating jewelry from a different perspective. At Aurum, we are mindful of our impact on the earth, using mostly recycled or fairtrade precious metals and sustainable, ethically-sourced and conflict-free gemstones. That mindfulness extends beyond the materials we use, but can also be seen in our reusable packaging and our work according to the made-to-order method.
